Ordering fractions with different denominators as shown in the picture, is a difficult task. They aren’t the same as 3/4′s and 3/5′s. the numerators are the same. Same as 3/4′s and 2/4′s. the denominators are the same. Different denominators are like what the picture shows. After you get the fraction you then look for the LCM ( Lowest common multiples ) you then times the denominator. You have to times the numerator by the denominator to get the right number. Then you add them together to get your fraction.

It was a blistering hot day. It was the middle of summer, the water was crystal clear as you could see the rock face  by boat. But standing on top of the point was an unexpected person called Shaan Wineera. It was the most thrilling site, the most beautiful site i’ve ever seen. But down below made me shiver of excitement . The centre of of attention was the person who was jumping of the rock. Shooting down was other people and then squelching up the rocks soaked to the max. My turn. Damn it. Think. No that won’t work. I jumped. My confidence level shot up like a rocket going at top speed. Everybody was watching. From boats to jet skis to the people on the rock. I was squelching up as fast as i could. The day started scorching up with my confidence above all the rest. The adrenaline running through me was incredible. That was the end of that adventurous day.

My goal- Is to make sure i have capital letters and and fullstops, and comma’s were they should be!

2 weeks ago when Mr Stodhart came back to school he told us about the amazing Fredrich Hundertwazzer. He has been creating houses with trees inside to make more oxygen inside than a window.  He makes things look  amazing in or outside.

BLACK HAT- We need to work together as a group, not as indivisual selfs.

YELLOW HAT- We made an elevator on the outside like on the video Mr C showed us on youtube. You pull a piece of rope and the people on the elevator.

This week for writing we are doing sexy paragraphs. They are supposed to make paragraphs longer and more descriptive writing. S means statment for putting a statment about what your talking about. E means explanation for explaining things that help back up your intro. X means Example. It is like plan B that backs everything up and gives you an example. Y means why is it important. This is sort of the conclusion. It gives you the reason about why it is important on the subject. It gives you the reason why it is left the same way all the time.

Yellow Hat- My sexy paragraphs are long and just right for me. Everything is about what cheese can be used for and why.

Black Hat- My spelling is very average and I did not miss any LINES in my story.

this week in class we have been talking about how to eco pimp our school or fix everything that we dont have. like energy efficent light bulbs windows facing north and turn the windows that are facing south in room 1 to make them face north. we could save power by making or buying a wind mill with Mr Wholleys permission.

yellow hat- the school could be more eco friendly with a lower roof as well as curtians.

black hat- THE SCHOOL IS NOT ECO FRIENDLY.

This week green groups maths is about fractions of whole numbers. You can use double number lines or arrays. Arrays are boxes that are good for going 1 eighth of 24 = 3. As in a double number line you can go from 0, 1 times 3 equals 3 which equals 1 eighth of 24.

Yellow hat- working in groups is best because you can work out one bit at a time like 4 times 3 and 5 times 3. It is also best to woork in groups of three and do one bit each and having a go.

Black hat- you will have to read it over a couple of times and get but it is really hard. Double number lines are really hard that i need to impove on but i have not done number lines in my whole lifetime.

This week Mrc had us going on about informal vs formal writing. Informal writing is when you go and say words that have been shortened like AIN’T and WON’T. Formal writing is the word that was first made like ARE NOT and WILL NOT.

Yellow Hat- the formal bit of writng is the longest paragraph in the story. It has been created long instead of short. It is a good way to teach children the diffrent types of meanings.

Black Hat- Informal is my worst strength in writing. They use diffrent types of lettering like apostrophie’s  and comma’s.

This week Mr C

made us do a descriptive piece of writing about our holidays.

Yellow hat- it is important you know about this beacause that this story has got more informal words than formal because informal writing is my strength in all my stories.

Black hat -I need to improve my descriptive by putting more similies and metaphors in my writing.
